It is with great joy and honor and praise through the intercession of the Holy Spirit and the Blessed Virgin Mary the parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi celebrate the ordination of Chris Dorer to the Sacred Order of Deacon. CONGRATULATIONS DEACON CHRIS!
The parish of St. Francis of Assisi welcomes our new Pastor Fr. Juan Guido
and Associates Fr. Taryn Whittington and Fr. Chanda Pillai
Prior to July 1, 2022, St. Francis of Assisi parish was a mission of St. Boniface in New Dixie (Bigelow), but Bishop Anthony B. Taylor, Bishop of Little Rock, reconfigured the tri-parishes (St. Boniface, St. Elizabeth, St. Francis) in 2022 and St. Francis is now a mission of Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
St. Francis remains a separate parish as it has for 100 years and is simply being administered by Christ the King Pastor and Associates as it had been when it was a mission of St. Boniface prior to July 2022 and was administered by the St. Boniface pastors.
You are part of this history. Your story is forever intertwined with St. Francis; our parish thrives today because you and your family have enriched it. Please consider how St. Francis parish has impacted you and generations of your family and please join in this Centennial Campaign as we ensure that St. Francis parish continues to nourish the spiritual lives of generations to come.
